Shalim Ortiz is a Dad now! Liam Michel Ortiz, the son of Shalim Ortiz and his wife Lesley Ann Machado was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Tuesday morning. Congratulations to Shalim and his falimy!

Shalim Oritz just visited the Dominican Republic to launch the new campaign of the Yogurts ‘Yoka’. The concept of the campaign was to blend a very Vanity Fair, GQ style with Ortiz’s personality and accomplishments in Hollywood.

The country is currently dressed in billboards of the campaign and tv spots/press has also launched nationwide.

Shalim Ortiz attended the Clarity Theater during the 9th Annual Beverly Hills Film Festival Opening Night Gala on April 1st, 2009 in Beverly Hills, California. A high quality photo from this event has been uploaded to the gallery.

Shalim has joined CBS’s TV series ‘Cold Case’. He plays the main character as a Cuban Baseball Player in season 6 episode 20, which will air on April 12. The episode was written by cuban actor Danny Pino, who also stars in the show.

Another new series he recently joined is ‘Maneater’ (from the creators of ‘The Starter Wife’), and it will premiere in Lifetime Television on May 30th. Shalim is part of a great cast which includes working once again with Maria Conchita Alonso (The Art of Travel), and Sarah Chalke is the lead.
